Im not going to lie
This is one of my favorite gifs of all time
I’m actually really nervous about posting these pages since the first page stood alone so well and was really well-received, but I finished, so here they are. My favourite pages ended up being the first and fifth, entirely because the colours were fun (and looking at my own stilted dialogue kind of kills me inside).
I like to think that if they had enough time, these bros could have made amends. Slowly, maybe, but an apology that’s more genuine than ‘I’m sorry for what I had to do to you’ is a start.
I just have so many feelings about Tarrlok and my questionable ability to write about them augh

Noatak/Tarrlok. *sigh* Why do I always end up liking creepy pairings? I don’t MEAN to, and yet here we are.
This is pretty much an emotional illustration of what I wanted to see in the finale: Korra mediating the established political/ethical conflict, here depicted as two dudes whose personal issues just might embody this larger narrative drama.
I have a really long ramble that accompanies this, but right now it’s so convoluted and raw and digressing that I shall refrain from posting it. Maybe later. ;_; le tired

They did Sokka’s infamous “Water Triiiiiiibe” peace-out move to each other all the time. They talked about going on a quest to find his long-lost space sword. He’d made out with the Moon Spirit, everyone knows that, but they really hoped she wasn’t a koi fish at the time. They wondered if Master Katara the great healer was really as beautiful and kind as all of the stories say she was and still is.
They thought it was cool that the next Avatar would be one of their own people, a Water Tribe Avatar, and someday they wanted to meet him.
(Or her. Because, you know, sometimes it’s a girl. But they agreed it would be better if it was a guy.)
The real reason Tarrlok’s hair was all mussed up when Korra found him was because Amon had messed with it first.
